Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Blockfit OÜ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Tasu — Time Calculator application (“the App”) and this website at tasu.blockfit.net (“the Site”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect (App)
The App does not collect any personal data. It operates entirely on your device. No account creation is required, and no personal information is transmitted to our servers.
All calculation data, history, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using the device’s built-in storage. This data never leaves your device.
3. Crash & error reporting (App)
The App uses a third-party service to collect anonymous crash reports and error logs. This helps us identify and fix bugs. The data collected includes technical information such as device model, operating system version, and stack traces. No personal data, calculation history, or user-identifiable information is included in these reports.
This data is processed on servers hosted in the European Union, in compliance with GDPR requirements.
4. Website analytics (Site)
The Site uses PostHog to measure traffic and understand how visitors find and interact with our pages. PostHog is processed and stored in the European Union (eu.posthog.com), and requests are routed through our own subdomain (r.blockfit.net) acting as a reverse proxy.
Analytics only run after you explicitly accept the cookie banner. If you decline or have not yet made a choice, no PostHog script is loaded, no cookies are set, and no event is sent.
When you accept, the following data is collected:
- Pages visited and the order in which you visit them
- Time spent on each page and how far you scrolled (used to measure engagement)
- Referring website and UTM campaign parameters (used to measure marketing channels)
- Anonymous interaction events (e.g. App Store badge clicks)
- Approximate location (country / city, derived from IP — the IP itself is not stored by PostHog)
- Browser type, operating system, screen size, and language (standard web telemetry)
We do not use session replay, do not record keystrokes, do not collect form contents, and do not attempt to re-identify visitors across devices.
Cookies set after consent: a small set of cookies prefixed with ph_ (PostHog) and a value in localStorage named tasu_consent_v1 that records your choice. These cookies expire after 12 months.
Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6.1.a): your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the controls below.
Retention: raw events are kept for 12 months; aggregated, non-personal metrics may be kept longer.
5. Manage your cookie preferences
You can change your analytics preference at any time. Disabling will stop further data collection and clear PostHog cookies on your next visit.
6. Third-party services
Beyond the crash reporting service (App only) and PostHog analytics (Site only), we do not integrate with any third-party services that would have access to your data. The only other external interaction is with the Apple App Store for the initial purchase and updates, which is governed by Apple’s own Privacy Policy.
7. Data storage & security
App data remains on your device, protected by your iPhone’s built-in security features (device encryption, passcode/biometric authentication). If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
Site analytics data is processed by PostHog on EU-based infrastructure under their Data Processing Agreement.
8. Children's privacy
The App and Site are not directed at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Since the App collects nothing, these rights apply mainly to Site analytics data and can be exercised by:
- Withdrawing consent (see section 5)
- Emailing [email protected] with your request
- Lodging a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local supervisory authority
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
